Why choose hardwood flooring? From the variety of woods to the organic way it reacts and adapts to its environment over time, the aesthetics and durability of hardwood cannot be surpassed. Elegant and beautiful hardwood flooring is a long–term investment. It's a great insulator that lasts an average of 100 years, and can be reborn with an occasional sanding or refinishing. Hardwood floors are a huge additional value, and they're guaranteed to boost the selling price on any property.

As demand for hardwood flooring continues to increase, especially on the Colorado Front Range, ProSource Denver has kept pace by offering additional hardwood finish and customization options, including hand carving, borders, medallions and accents. ProSource saw the request for more unique hardwood floor coverings in Denver, and in response, we developed more exotic species to bring a wider palette of colors to hardwood floors.

ProSource offers two categories of hardwood flooring: engineered and solid. Solid is the most common hardwood choice, and it's best suited for higher–grade installations. It consists of one–piece boards that are generally nailed to a subfloor. Most are unfinished, thereby allowing customers to apply a variety of colors and finishes. Engineered hardwood is comprised of two or more layers of wood that have been laminated together, the top being a veneer and the bottom a softer wood backing. It's better suited for below–grade and basement installations.
